Age Levels

The Girl Scout program is a values-based, informal educational program with five age level adaptations to meet the developmental, educational, emotional and social needs and interests of girls, ages 5 to 17. The age level adaptations are:

Daisy Girl Scout: ages 5 to 6 or in kindergarten to first grade
Brownie Girl Scout: ages 6 to 8 or in grades one to three
Junior Girl Scout: ages 8 to 11 or grades three to six
Cadette Girl Scout: ages 11 to 14 or grades six to nine
Senior Girl Scout: ages 14 to 17 or grades nine to 12

In addition, girls ages 11 to 17 can participate in activities in STUDIO 2B.
