Circle your choices on the schedule (click here) fill out the registration form, include fees, and mail or take to the Girl Scout Center. Space is limited, so register early. Registration closes Friday, October 5.
Fee: $5 per person, includes training materials and a Circle T Express patch. Additional fees are required for some courses. See course descriptions for details. You have the option to pre-order a box lunch for you and your daughter for an additional $6 per person. See schedule for details.
Girl Scout Program for girls: Provided by Program Aides for Daisy, Brownie and Junior Girl Scout daughters of adult participants. Please use a Girl Activity Registration form to register girls. Place all registration forms and fees in the same envelope. Girls will not be returned to their parents for lunch but will enjoy lunch in their appropriate groups.
Bring: Lunch and drink for you and your child or pre-order your box lunch); paper; pencil; Safety-Wise, The Key, and age level books if taking age level classes.
Girl Scout shop items will be available for purchase.
Circle T Express Workshop Descriptions
Basic Leadership Training
Orientation (I056): 3 hours. Required for all new leaders. Learn about the spirit of the Girl Scout Movement, the framework of the program, role of the Girl Scout leader, how to register a troop, troop management, and how to access support services provided by Circle T Council.
Age Level
Daisy (D075), Brownie (B203), Junior (J173), or Advisor 11-17 (C067): 3 hours. Required course for new leaders. The prerequisite is Orientation to Girl Scouts. Min/Max: 8/25
Outdoor Training
Outdoor Knowledge (O283): 3 hours & Day Stepper Skills (O284): 3 hours. $6 additional fee covers food and a patch for Day Stepper Skills. For registered adults. Participants will gain knowledge and skills to build, maintain, and safely extinguish a fire. They will also learn ways to transport and store food safely in addition to Leave No Trace principles. They will make a hot beverage on a charcoal fire. Participants in this course must bring, Safety-Wise, The Key, Outdoor Education in Girl Scouting, a drink, lawn chair, bandana, hat or cap. Dress for the weather, rain or shine. Min/Max: 8/25.
First Aid & CPR (R241): 6 hours. $37 additional fee is required. Meets the requirements for Girl Scout First Aid Level I. American Red Cross. Min/Max: 8/12
Enrichment Workshops
Fun at the Farm House I (W611): 3 hours. Learn to do activities your troop will enjoy to complete Circle T Council’s Farm House patch. Experienced leaders get you started on the activities and give you direction on how to complete them. Activities include making yarn, homemade butter, and playing games that girls played 50 years ago. Counts as an outdoor workshop. Min/Max: 8/25
Safe Walk (W614): 3 hours. Learn awareness, mental preparation and basic self defense techniques. You will gain valuable tips and information on how to protect yourself.
Fun at the Farm House II (W616) 3 hours. Additional activities for the Farm House patch will be presented. Experienced leaders get you started with the activities and give you directions on how to complete them. These activities are different from the ones that are offered in Farm House I workshop. Min/Max: 8/25
Natural Traders (W610): 3 hours. $3 additional fee is required. Make SWAPS ("Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere") from natural materials. Bring your own scissors and glue gun. Min/Max: 8/25
Troop Money Management &Trips (W613): 3 hours. Learn pitfalls to avoid when managing troop finances, planning troop trips, the importance of progression in trip planning, what permission is needed and what paper work is required. Min/Max: 8/25.
Crazy Concoctions (W612): 3 hours. $3 additional fee is required. Help build self esteem and confidence by encouraging girls to explore, create, learn and experiment. Mix up a few fun, wacky, wild, easy and crazy concoctions using common household ingredients. Min/Max:8/25
Fire Ban Cooking (W615): 3 hours. $5 additional fee is required. Have you experienced camping during a fire ban or wondered how you would cook for your troop? Learn the varying levels of fire bans, “no cook” meals that you can prepare, advantages and disadvantages, and available resources. Min./Max: 8/25
