Outstanding Volunteer and Outstanding Leader

It’s time to think about recognizing individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty for Girl Scouting. The Council Recognitions Committee invites and encourages you to ensure that the dedication and outstanding service of our wonderful adult volunteers does not go unrecognized. Say thank you to your peers, troop leaders, service team members, day camp staff, or colleagues whose efforts are sincerely focused on making the Girl Scout experience good for every girl, and whose services exceeded the expectations of the position by nominating them for Outstanding Leader or Outstanding Volunteer.

The deadline for submitting nominations for Outstanding Volunteers and Outstanding Leaders are is March 1, 2007.

The deadline for submitting nominations for the other Council and GSUSA awards is June 1, 2007.

Complete the form and mail it to the Girl Scout Center, 4901 Briarhaven Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76109 or fax it to 732-1261.

Council and GSUSA awards require endorsements. If you are nominating someone for the Outstanding Leader award, this nomination requires two endorsements. Arrange for two parents in the troop to complete the endorsement forms that are attached to the nomination form, or have them email us. Letters from the girls expressing why they think their Leader deserves the award are especially meaningful to the Leaders, and may be mailed to the Girl Scout Center as endorsements.

These nominations will be reviewed by the Council Recognitions Committee in preparation for approval by the Board of Directors. Recipients of the Outstanding Leader and Outstanding Volunteer Award will be honored at their Spring Community Meeting.
