President’s Environmental Youth Awards

Young people from around the country are invited annually to participate in the awards program which encourages individuals, school classes, summer camps, public interest groups, and youth organizations to promote environmental awareness and positive community involvement. Your project – or one you are sponsoring – could be an award winner. Encourage girls in your troop to apply for a PEYA and see what a difference they can make for the environment. For ages K-12. (deadline to apply is usually Oct. 31st each year)

The Congressional Award

The Congressional Award is about challenge. It is a fun and interesting way to be rewarded for something you already enjoy or something you would like to try for the first time. Set a personal goal and achieve it. Along the way, learn about yourself. Awards are for children under 14; young adults ages 15-25; adults 25 and older; and families or groups (two or more people).
