American Honda Environmental Learning Center (ELC) .
American Honda is proud to open its doors to Girl Scouts who would like to complete a service project that would have an impact on the community as well as a badge program for Daisies, Brownie and Juniors.
The Environmental Learning Center (ELC) is designed to be a unique community resource that promotes a responsible land use ethic through a greater understanding of the varied regional ecology. The ELC features a trail system and species of plants, grasses and trees representing ten different Texas ecosystems.
The 1.5-mile trail is used as walking paths for hands-on discussion about nature aided by a Honda environmental education activity booklet and coordinator instruction.
For more information on learning more about nature and the environment, a service project or the badge program, please contact Julie Schmitt at 972-929-5470 or julie_schmitt@ahm.honda.com at the Honda Environmental Learning Center.
